Things to see and do in Bletchley
Bletchley has a number of cultural and historical attractions to keep you busy, including the interesting National Museum of Computing, the National Radio Centre and Bletchley Park Mansion. The pace is a little faster at the town’s indoor karting track, while local green spaces include the Blue Lagoon Local Nature Reserve and Mount Farm Park.
There’s more natural scenery on offer at Furzton Lake, while Waterhall Park is on the south-east edge of town on the fringes of open countryside. Walkers, hikers and cyclists will love the Chiltern Hills and trips over to the Cotswolds, while London is only ever a short journey away too.
Education
This is a great area to live if you have children or plan to do so, with a number of schools rated as outstanding by Ofsted. This includes primary options such as the Premier Academy, Drayton Park School and St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Primary. Bletchley transport links
Bletchley’s train station is just off Sherwood Drive close to the town centre, with services into neighbouring Milton Keynes taking just five minutes. Trains to London Euston take just over 35 minutes, making Bletchley ideal for commuting into the capital. The town could also be a great place to live if you work in a whole host of other towns or cities, thanks to its close proximity to the M1 motorway. You can use this to drive to London in just over an hour, while it’s half that to get to Northampton.
