Red Lodge Heath is a superb 21-hectare open space perfect for relaxing walks, and right on the southern edge of the village. Just to the north of town is the interesting Mildenhall Museum and Rex Graham Nature Reserve, as well as the fun-filled Escape Rooms Suffolk and Aspal Close Nature Reserve.

There are two primary schools in the village - the Pines and St Christopher’s - while Kennett Primary is just to the south and classed as good by Ofsted. The nearest outstanding primaries are Barrow CofE, Fordham CofE and Exning Primary. Newmarket Academy and Mildenhall College Academy are good secondaries which cater for kids in Red Lodge, while there are even more options over in Bury St Edmunds.

Red Lodge is close to the A11 and A14 roads, while there’s a bypass which skirts around the village to keep things nice and quiet. The nearest train station is Kennett a couple of miles south, where you’ll find a selection of Greater Anglia services. Trains to London take around an hour, meaning Red Lodge is viable for commuters to the capital.
